Six walks around Wädenswil, and none of them needs high mountains

Inspired by the long out-of-print walking booklet «Wädenswil von Kopf bis Fuss» from 1981, I re-explored six routes for the Wädenswiler Anzeiger: from the lakeshore to the highest point of the municipality, on foot and on snowshoes. I was amazed myself how much Wädenswil has to offer.

Walk 2 of 6 · Spring

From park to park, right across Wädi to the Au

Wädenswil is greener than the through road gives it credit for. This walk links eight parks, each with its own history and its own flora, from the Schlosspark out to the Au peninsula. Between them short paths lead through the neighbourhoods, past walls and old trees. You walk slowly, stop, take a closer look at a tree, and move on. At the end you sit by the water having seen a town you normally only drive through.
