Pfannenstöckli, from Weglosen in the Ybrig

This snowshoe tour in the Hoch-Ybrig area, graded WT2, is ideal for ‘advanced beginners’. From Weglosen, the valley station of the Hoch-Ybrig cable car, the first stretch follows a snow-covered forest road through the woods. The views are limited, but the gradient is gentle and the track wide enough to chat as we go. Soon after leaving the forest we reach the Druesberg hut, where, depending on conditions, we either stop for refreshments or take a short break.

Then comes the open country: a gentle climb to the south of the Pfannenstöckli, and an equally gentle descent to the north. After that, nothing can keep us from the Druesberg hut, where a coffee – or whatever takes our fancy – makes us happier still. We return the way we came.
